During our city trip to Gouda with our daughter, we slept at the Best Western Plus City Hotel Gouda. We stayed in Gouda for two days and found it a very nice city to visit. About the city, we wrote the blog Gouda with kids, in which we listed all the city’s children’s activities. Following our overnight stay at the Best Western Plus City Hotel Gouda, we write this comprehensive review!
Table of contents
This family-friendly hotel in Gouda is located on the edge of the city center and you can walk from the hotel to the city center in a few minutes. You can park your car under the hotel in the (paid) parking garage and from the parking lot you can take the elevator straight to the hotel reception. So this is ideally arranged! You can get a discount as a guest for the parking lot, but you must indicate this in advance.
It is also possible to visit the hotel by public transportation. From the train station in Gouda, it is about a ten-minute walk to the hotel. You can rent bikes and e-choppers at the hotel, which you can use to explore the area. The hotel also offers various packages on its website.
We had booked a beautiful Suite for our family of three. This room was very spacious and we slept in a double bed and our daughter slept on the sofa bed in the same room. This room was spacious enough for the three of us and was fully equipped. The bathroom of this room was very spacious and had both a shower and a large freestanding bathtub.
We love bathing and always find it a big plus in a room if we have a bathtub. To this we made considerable use. There was also a desk, where our daughter spent quite some time coloring, and a sitting area. There was also a flat-screen TV hanging on wall.
For us a very nice room where we could really relax at the end of the day. By the way, the hotel also has family rooms for families of four.
Food and drink in hotel
The hotel also has a bistro, where you can grab a bite to eat three times a day. We had breakfast at the hotel only in the morning and it was very good. A very extensive breakfast buffet with all kinds of delicious things, sandwiches, fruits, cereals, juices, toppings and then we forget a lot of things. On that note, we left the hotel in the morning with a well-filled belly.
By the way, you can buy some drinks at the reception and some goodies for the kids. They have a display case here with some goodies in it. By the way, in the room we also had a refrigerator, which makes it easy to bring drinks from home as well.
We enjoyed our overnight stay at the Best Western Plus City Hotel Gouda. The hotel is within walking distance of the center of Gouda and you can park your car under the hotel, getting to the reception in a minute. The hotel has nice spacious rooms for families of four.
In addition, the bistro is a great place to grab a bite to eat and a drink, and we really liked the breakfast in the morning. For more information on the different rooms, the hotel and the bistro, check out the Best Western Plus City Hotel Gouda website.
