Amusement parks in Brabant with kids #1: The Efteling
Surely the largest amusement park in the Netherlands (and therefore in Brabant) is the Efteling. In terms of visitor numbers, the Efteling has as many visitors as the rest of the top 10 theme parks in the Netherlands with a whopping 5.3 million visitors per year. You can visit the Efteling all year round and any time of the year is also fun to visit this amusement park.
For example, in winter you have the Winter Efteling where the entire amusement park is transformed into a snowy landscape and there is a really nice atmosphere in the park with campfires, fake snow and Christmas trees.
If you are visiting the amusement park for the first time and want to see the entire park completely then one day is very tight. This amusement park is fun for both young and older kids. The amusement park has plenty of fast-paced roller coasters that are fun for older kids, but also definitely enough entertainment for young kids like the Fairytale Forest, the People of Laaf and Carnival Festival. Almost every year there is a new attraction added to the theme park, and the Efteling continues to expand.
There are also a number of shows you can attend at the park. Our daughter is a total fan of the fairy tale show, which is held at certain times in a small outdoor theater in the Fairytale Forest. Furthermore, Ravelein’s show is spectacular with a lot of knights on horses and the amusement park also has a water show (Aquanura).
Of course, in terms of food and drink, the amusement park is well catered for. Throughout the park there are plenty of catering establishments to get something to eat and drink. The Efteling does not mind if people bring their own food and drinks, so that is definitely an option as well. Amusement parks in Brabant with kids #2: Speelland Beekse Bergen
When most people think of the Beekse Bergen, they immediately think of the safari park, but the Beekse Bergen also has a whole park attached to it in the form of Speelland. Playland is especially open during the summer months because basically everything takes place around the water. Most people visit playland because of having a day at the beach, but there is much more for kids to enjoy at this park.
Thus, Speelland has several playgrounds at the park and also has a number of small “attractions. Indeed, here in the park you have bumper boats, an aqua shuttle, power paddle boats, pedal boats, a miniature golf course, trampolines, an assault course, two large water slides, a baby carriage track (kind of like a train), all kinds of bikes on a track (traffic square), funwheels and an adventure island. In any case, there is enough entertainment to keep you entertained for a whole day at the park.
In addition to visiting Playland, it is also definitely fun to visit the safari park. You can drive your own car through the park just like a real safari in Africa. There are also several opportunities to admire the mostly African animals. This safari park will also keep you busy for a day with the family!

Amusement parks in Brabant with kids #3: DippieDoe
DippieDoe may not be the biggest amusement park in Brabant, but we think it is one of the best amusement parks in Brabant with kids. You have an indoor section and an outdoor section at this amusement park. The indoor area is actually a kind of large indoor playground, where kids can still visit some small attractions such as a carousel and a spinning bench (we’re not quite sure how to describe the attraction ;)).
We like the outdoor part in this amusement park the most and here you will find different attractions especially for younger kids. What is a great advantage of the park is that it is not super big, which makes it quite manageable. Because our daughter could get into most of the attractions on her own and had made friends in the playground, she was able to get into the various attractions on her own pretty quickly, while we had a view of her from the terrace.
In the outdoor area you have seven different attractions, which are mainly for young kids! In addition, the park has three large playgrounds, a miniature golf course and a mega bouncy castle. However, there are some attractions that are subject to certain height restrictions, so check the website in advance to see what your kids are allowed to go on.

Amusement parks in Brabant with kids #4: BillyBird Park Hemelrijk
The Billybird Park Hemelrijk in Volkel is another park with a collection of activities you can do here with kids. For example, you have a large lake around which the park is built and where in summer you can also have a great day at the beach and your kids can play in the Aquafun park.
Throughout the park, you will also find a lot of playgrounds, and the park also has several attractions, including a roller coaster. This does require kids to be at least 110 cm tall to get in. In addition, the amusement park has a carousel, hovermill, teacups, bumper cars and a large traffic plaza.
In that respect, this park is still quite large in terms of surface area and less manageable than DippieDoe, for example. Of course, there is a large lake near it, so you have to keep a close eye on small kids. There are also opportunities to play indoors in bad weather. For example, they have an indoor playground and also a large ball pit inside.

Amusement parks in Brabant with kids #5: Adventure park Kids Wonderland
The smallest amusement park in this list of amusement parks in Brabant with kids is Avonturenpark Kids Wonderland in Molenschot. You can also compare the park to a large indoor playground with a number of additional activities. Thus, most of it can be experienced indoors. Besides the standard playground equipment you find at indoor playgrounds, here you have a number of small “attractions” for kids.
For example, there are sort of pedal planes that go down a runway that you can go in with your kids. There is also a kind of Cakewalk (formerly from the fair) that kids can walk through, encountering all kinds of obstacles along the way such as moving stairs, vibrating floors and conveyor belts. There are also chairs where kids can pull themselves up via a rope.
Next to it you have an outdoor area, where you will find another large playground and where there is a large bouncy castle. Kidswonderland’s price is slightly higher than an indoor playground, but a lot lower than most amusement parks. You can have a great time here for half a day, but then most families will have seen it.
