Family-friendly hotel The Hague

In the blog Family-friendly hotel The Hague, we are going to show the different options you have as parents with kids to stay overnight in the city of The Hague. In The Hague you don’t have super many family-friendly hotels where you can sleep with a family with two kids but of course there are some nice options you can book. We ourselves pay attention when booking a family hotel in The Hague to the location, the hotel’s facilities and the reviews given by families with kids who have slept at the particular children’s hotel in The Hague.

1. Novotel The Hague City Centre

The first hotel in this list of family-friendly hotels in The Hague is the Novotel The Hague City Centre and this is where we stayed ourselves. We had booked this hotel because of its perfect location. In fact, the hotel is right in the center of The Hague, and from the hotel you had a view of the Binnenhof.

You can park your car at this hotel (paid) under the hotel, which means you can be in the hotel in a few moments from your car. What is immediately noticeable when you walk into the lobby of the hotel is that there is a play area for kids. This is where our daughter has played several times, which also shows that this is a family hotel in The Hague.

The hotel has several rooms suitable for families with kids. We ourselves had booked the Executive room and our daughter slept in this room on a sofa bed. The hotel also has even more spacious suites at its disposal. In our room, we actually had everything you expect from a hotel room.

What we noticed right away in our room is that we had a huge TV on the wall. In addition, the room has a bathroom with a bathtub and our daughter always loves that too.

In terms of food and drink, this children’s hotel in The Hague is also a great place to stay. We dined in the evening at the Gallery61 restaurant belonging to the hotel. This restaurant is also fun to go to with kids. They have many choices for kids and in the restaurant, for example, they have a funny painting in the shape of a chair that kids can sit in.

We also took advantage of the breakfast and it was very extensive and very tasty! Therefore, we found the breakfast to be highly recommended!

2. Ibis The Hague City Centre

We also slept in this children’s hotel in The Hague with our family. We parked our car in the (paid parking garage) near the hotel and got to the reception in a few minutes. We also chose the Ibis The Hague City Centre in part for a city trip to The Hague with our daughter because of its location.

In fact, this location is super central, allowing you to walk straight into the center from the hotel. Of course, you can also easily take public transportation to different parts of the city. You are on the beach in ten minutes by streetcar from the hotel. Ideal for families with kids in the summer. Besides, this is a real budget hotel in The Hague and we found the price-quality ratio really more than fine.

This children’s hotel in The Hague has several family rooms for families of four. We had also booked a family room here which basically means two double rooms connected by a door that is then open. Of course, this is ideal in terms of privacy and because the parents and kids sleep separately while still being one room.

We find Ibis hotels are actually always just good. It is not too expensive compared to many other hotels and yet it has a nice modern sleek look in terms of its interior. Often the hotels are also right in the center like this family-friendly hotel in The Hague.

At the hotel there is a bistro where you can eat three times a day, but we only used the hotel’s breakfast in the morning and it was very extensive and very good. If you are looking for a budget hotel in The Hague that is right in the center, then the Ibis The Hague City Centre hotel is definitely a nice option.

3. Babylon Hotel The Hague

We have also slept at the third family hotel in The Hague ourselves and can, of course, properly assess it. The Babylon Hotel The Hague is located next to The Hague’s central train station, which of course gives it a very good location. This is not surprising, of course, since we usually select our hotels on this as well. We really like the fact that when we get out the door of the hotel we can walk to the city center.

If you come by car, you can park your car at a reduced rate in the parking garage near the hotel. In addition, athletic parents can work up a sweat in the hotel’s gym and there is an option to rent bicycles at the hotel.

We had booked the Junior Suite Family Room at this hotel, which is a large room of about 36m2 with a large bathroom with a bathtub. With this room, too, you had two sections that connected. About the room we actually had no complaints at all and the room had everything we expected from a family room.

This hotel also has a bar and a restaurant, and again we only used the breakfast (at the other meals we ate in town on a terrace). This morning breakfast was very good at this family-friendly hotel in The Hague. Another thing that really struck us about this hotel was the hospitality and friendliness of the staff. Very interested and our daughter was given some sweets at breakfast for the rest of the day.

These are often small things, but very much part of how you feel at home at the hotel. For more information about the Babylon Hotel The Hague, take a look here.
