Hotel Restaurant Schiff with kids: family-friendly hotel!
Last fall vacation, we finally visited amusement park Europa Park and also Europa Park’s water park: Rulantica. This amusement park had been on our list for a long time and what a cool amusement park it is! We already wrote about this amusement park the blog Europa Park with kids, in which we listed all the information about the amusement park for families with kids. We slept at the family-friendly Hotel Restaurant Schiff during this time and as a result of our stay at this hotel, we are writing this comprehensive review.
The hotel
Located in Kappel- Grafenhausen, the Hotel Restaurant Schiff is less than a ten-minute car ride from Europa Park amusement park. This location is ideal, as it meant we had little travel time between our hotel and the amusement park. We drove to the hotel in the afternoon after our first day at the amusement park and parked the car for free in front.
We walk straight from the car into the cozy restaurant of the hotel where it is pleasantly crowded inside. After we checked in, we walked outside past the hotel and were able to get to our room.
The room
What struck us right away about the room we booked was how spacious it was. Where normally we sometimes have a small room where we can barely put our suitcases on the floor, here it is no problem at all. An extra bed was added to the room for our daughter, allowing her to sleep next to us.
The bathroom of the room is also very spacious which we really liked! In the room itself there was also a small desk, where our daughter spent quite some time coloring in her coloring books. There is also a sitting chair in the room. Other than that, the room has all the comforts such as air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a safe and a working WIFI connection!
Food and drink in hotel
You can eat and drink at Hotel Restaurant Schiff with kids just fine! The hotel has a large restaurant where you can go for lunch or dinner. We were back late from Europa Park amusement park and had already eaten at the park, but otherwise we definitely would have had a bite to eat here in the evening. The food looked delicious!
In the morning we did take advantage of the extensive breakfast buffet. Different kinds of sandwiches, spreads, juices, sweets, hot egg dishes, yogurt with cereal and then we forget a whole bunch of things. On that note, we ate wonderfully and left the hotel with a well-filled belly.
Conclusion
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Restaurant Schiff. The hotel is a few minutes’ drive from the Europa Park amusement park and the Rulantica water park, and you can park your car in front of the door for free. The rooms offered by the hotel are spacious and fully equipped. In addition, the hotel serves a deliciously extensive breakfast buffet in the morning, getting your day off to a great start.
