Hotel Eulenhof with kids: family hotel in the Eifel region

During the autumn vacations, we visited Eifelpark amusement park in the Eifel region. We wanted to sleep near this amusement park so we wouldn’t have to spend too long in the car the next morning. We searched online for a suitable accommodation to stay with the family and then Hotel Eulenhof caught our eye! As a result of our overnight stay at this hotel, we are writing this comprehensive blog about it.

The hotel

And so on Sunday afternoon we drive toward the hotel located in the beautiful Eifel region. We previously wrote about the Eifel region the blog the Eifel with kids, in which we list all the activities in the region. The hotel is located in the town of Gransdorf, which is a small village in the Eifel region.

The hotel is a fifteen-minute drive from Eifelpark amusement park, which is why we thought it was ideally located. In addition, we could park the car in front of the door for free. That again saves a lot of parking costs in a big city. We had read in advance in the online reviews that the owners of the hotel were very friendly, and so we receive a warm welcome when we arrive at the hotel.

The hotel is quite large and there is a spacious living room (with lots of hugs) where you can relax. There is also a whole area outside where you can sit outside with your kids in the summer. There is also an area where there is some fitness equipment. Especially with kids, this relaxed environment is nice, so you can also go outside with your kids.

The room

The hotel has several rooms for families and we booked the Deluxe Junior Suite. This spacious 50m2 room has two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. In that respect, that space was very nice and our daughter loved having her own room. This room is suitable for families with two kids.

The bathroom in particular was very nice with the large bathtub that was in it. Here we had a nice bath with the family at the end of the day and a bath that is always a big plus for us with a room. The rest of the bathroom was also quite spacious, which we ourselves loved.

At our parents’ bedroom there was also a sitting area where we could sit and at our daughter’s bedroom there was also a desk. Here our daughter spent quite some time coloring in her coloring books. Our daughter’s bedroom was in an upstairs section and the two rooms were connected by stairs.

In addition, the room had a working WIFI connection and there was also the possibility of watching TV on a flat-screen TV. In that regard, we found our room wonderful for a night’s sleep. We had the space and the room was fully equipped.

Food and drink in hotel

We took advantage of the breakfast buffet in the morning. This breakfast was very extensive with different types of breads, spreads, juices, coffee and tea, sweets and then we forget several things. In that respect, it was an ideal start to the day for us to then head for the Eifel Park amusement park.

In addition, it is also possible to have a drink at the hotel. In the living room there is a refrigerator with all kinds of drinks and you can check off on a list if you have taken something. When you check out, you can then pay the bill for the drinks. Ideal for us since we had not brought our own chilled drinks.

Conclusion

We enjoyed our overnight stay at hotel Eulenhof! The hotel is quietly located in a village and is very close to Eifel amusement park. In addition, we were able to park the car there for free and had a spacious room with all amenities. In the morning, we took advantage of the extensive breakfast buffet, making a good start to the day. As far as we are concerned, really an ideal hotel if you are going to visit the Eifel amusement park. For more information about the hotel, check out the Hotel Eulenhof website!
