Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids: for families!
Visiting Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids is definitely a must! The only water park you’ll find in Malta has enough fun slides to keep you well entertained for a whole day! We ourselves always look when we vacation in the summer months to see if there is a water park nearby. Since Malta is not a big island and distances on the island are small, you can visit the water park in a day trip from any destination. Following our visit to the water park, we give you all the information you need for a family day out in Malta!

Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids: general information
From our vacation address in the seaside town of St. Petersburg, we were able to explore the area. Julians we drive to this water park in just over five minutes in our rental car. The water park is located near the most touristic resorts in the north of the island, and it is also only a twenty-minute drive to this water park from the capital Valetta. You can also reach the water park just fine by bus, if you don’t have a rental car, for example. Plenty of buses stop near the water park.
We park the car for free in front of the water park in the parking lot in front of the water park. We get there a little before the water park opens and get our tickets for the day at the box office. You can also order tickets in advance on the water park’s website. Here it is also possible to buy a pass for two or three days, and they also sell family tickets here (two adults and and two kids) at a discount.
You can also rent a locker at the water park for a few euros a day. We did, since it meant we didn’t have to leave our valuables by the beach bed and that the three of us could go out. There are plenty of beach beds all over the water park, so you can also relax at Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids.
Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids: the water park
The water park has about ten different slides you can slide down. These slides are generally quite spectacular, and with some slides there is a minimum age or height requirement. Our daughter is seven and is about 6 feet tall and was allowed to go down most of the slides. There were two slides she was not allowed to go down.
There is also a lazyriver, in which you make a big lap through the entire water park with a tire, which we ourselves always find very relaxing, and there is also a very cool diving board with two different heights. There is also a large swimming pool, where they have artificial waves in the pool every so often.
There is also a separate swimming area for the youngest kids where they can play and there is also a large playground equipment in the pool. We actually went in all sections with our daughter and of course we went down the various slides very often. In addition, our daughter loved jumping off the highest diving board and did so dozens of times.
Big advantage we found of the water park is that the queues at the different slides are not very long, so you can do each slide several times just fine. We were there at the end of the summer season on a Monday, though, and obviously do not know what it is like on weekends, for example.
Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids: food and drink
In terms of food and drink, there are also great options at Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids. So we had lunch at the restaurant here at noon and ate a delicious pasta. Of course, the restaurant also has the usual food such as pizza, fries and burgers. We found the menu quite extensive and there are plenty of dining options for families with kids. There is also a stall at the water park where you can get some candy and drinks.
Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids: conclusion
We highly recommend Splash and Fun Waterpark Malta with kids! There are plenty of spectacular slides you can visit, and besides those slides, there are plenty of other fun things you can do. So we were there when the water park opened and left the water park by the end of the day. We found it a very nice change from our vacation in Malta and always enjoy visiting a water park during our vacation. For more information on opening hours, prices and different slides, take a look at the water park’s website!
Where to stay in Malta with kids?
Because the distances on Malta are not super great, it doesn’t really matter much where you stay on the island for the various sights. We ourselves had two hotels in two different places and it was fine. We liked the first hotel of these two best because of where we were (St. Pauls Bay). A nice seaside resort with several nice restaurants. We ourselves found this to be a very pleasant place for our family. We slept here at the beautiful Mayflower hotel.
At the second place, we slept in the town of St. Louis. Julian’s and that is really known for going out, so there were also a lot of young people and it was less suitable for us as a family. We hadn’t thought about this very much beforehand and in retrospect we would have been better off staying in beautiful Sliema. By the way, we did have an excellent apartment here through Antoniel Suites.
