First we put the van der Valk Hotel Schiphol in this list and that is because we have stayed here ourselves and thus experienced what this hotel is like. And because we also found it really highly recommended! The hotel is about a 10-minute drive away from the airport, so this hotel has a Park Fly Sleep principle, where you can park your car either for 14 days or for 31 days “free” at the hotel.
The hotel is reasonably close to the highway and has a huge parking lot, so you don’t have to drive your car into the hustle and bustle of the airport either. In addition, this hotel also has several facilities that we found very pleasant. For example, the hotel has a swimming pool with a spa which of course is a very nice start to the vacation or your trip. We went here right after arriving at the hotel and relaxed for 2 hours.
The van der Valk Hotel has wonderful family rooms and we we really had booked a wonderful family room. The room is very spacious with a large bed for the parents and a bunk bed for the kids. You can also close this area with a sliding door, so the kids really do have their own little room.
The bathroom that came with this room was also huge with a luxurious whirlpool tub and a spacious shower. There was also a balcony attached to the room, which is a great place to sit at the end of the day when the kids are asleep.
We had dinner at the hotel in the evening and breakfast in the morning and it was super good! In that respect, in terms of food and drink at the van der Valk concern, you’re actually always right. The hotel has buses running between the hotel and the airport and you can book a bus right when you check in your room. So that way you can start your vacation very relaxed.
Especially since you save the parking fee, you may well find that the overnight stay is free because you would otherwise have paid the parking fee at the airport.

#2 Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
If you are looking for a hotel where they have family rooms and where you can walk to Schiphol on foot from the hotel, the Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is a good option. In fact, you can walk from the hotel in 7 minutes through a covered tunnel to Schiphol Airport with kids. The hotel looks tremendously cool from the outside in terms of architecture.
What is a disadvantage of the hotel is that the parking lot is paid, so you don’t have this advantage. If you come to the airport by train, then of course you won’t be bothered by that. You can then of course walk from the airport straight to this hotel. This hotel also has an indoor pool for the kids and a fine restaurant where you can go for a snack and a drink.

#3 Ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport
If you are looking for a budget hotel to sleep with your family near Schiphol Airport then the Ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport hotel can be a great option. This hotel is a lot cheaper than the previous two hotels and is about 3 kilometers from the airport. You can also be taken by shuttle bus to the airport here.
However, like the Hilton hotel, you do pay for parking here per day, so if you come by car the advantage of this hotel disappears if you compare it with the van der Valk Hotel, for example. They don’t have a pool here, but the breakfast is set up so you can get to the airport early here (breakfast starts as early as 4 a.m.).

This hotel is one of the best-reviewed hotels in the area (with an overall score of 9 from hundreds of reviews) and is just under 8 kilometers from the airport. You can also book a family room here with the family, but you pay per day to park here. In addition, there is no option to take a free shuttle to the airport.
So you either have to arrange a cab or drive your own car to Schiphol and park your car there. If you are mainly looking for a place to sleep close to Schiphol in a hotel that is tremendously well reviewed, then this is definitely a nice option. #5 Ramada by Wyndham Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
This 4-star hotel is just under 3 kilometers from Schiphol Airport and this hotel also has an airport shuttle. You also have an indoor pool for the kids and a sauna for the parents at this hotel. They also have a 24-hour shop here where you can go for sandwiches, hot meals and drinks. This can be a big advantage if, for example, you are flying in the middle of the night and still want to get something to eat.

If you are looking for an apartment to stay in with the family that also has two different bedrooms, the Corendon Apartments Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is a great option. Again, this hotel is less than 3 kilometers away from the airport, and again a free shuttle bus runs to Schiphol Airport.
Another disadvantage of this hotel is that you have to pay per day for parking, but suppose you are only going for a week, for example, this kind of hotel can be just a little cheaper than the hotels where you can park your car for free.
