The InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa is the most beautiful and luxurious hotel on the beautiful island of Dominica. It is located in the north of the island and we stayed there for no less than 6 days, which was very nice. Anyway, the island of Dominica is highly recommended! The hotel
The InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa is the finest hotel on the island of Dominica. Therefore, when we visited the island of Dominica, we definitely wanted to stay at this hotel for several nights. The hotel is located in the north of the island near the city of Portsmouth. Located on the beach, the hotel is next to Cabrits National Park. You can walk straight from the hotel to this national park and from the top of the mountain you also have a beautiful view of the hotel and the surrounding area. Also in the sea near the hotel beach you can snorkel and admire different fish and also an old shipwreck.
The hotel has several pools and around these pools are plenty of beds to spend a lovely day by the pool. The hotel also has a spa where they have a sauna and a steam room and you can also get a massage in one of the rooms around this complex. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. Nice and green, which also really gives you the idea that you are on a tropical island.
For parents with children, it is nice that the hotel also has a kids club that is quite large and where the kids can be entertained by members of this kids club. There is also a small playground for the kids at this kids club.
The room
The hotel has several rooms you can book and all the rooms are very luxurious. For larger families, you also have rooms here for families up to 7 people. We had a spacious room, where they had added an extra bed for our daughter. We had a large double bed and in the corner of the room there was also a desk with a chair, so we could do homework in the morning if necessary.
In addition, the rooms all have a large and luxurious bathroom with a bathtub! Needless to say, we took great advantage of that. Therefore, the room was really a place for us to relax. There was also a sitting area near our room, which we as parents liked very much, since we could have a drink here at the end of the day when our daughter was asleep. Some rooms also have a private pool near the room. In that regard, the rooms have all the amenities you would expect from a luxury room.
Food and drink at the hotel
You can also have great food at the InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa. We had included breakfast when we booked our room and it was very tasty and very extensive. You could order a nice hot egg, waffle or pancake from the staff and there were also many different types of sandwiches, toppings, juices, fruits, sweets and we are probably forgetting a whole bunch of other things.
Especially since in Dominica itself there are not that many restaurants and thus it is still quite difficult to have a nice breakfast outside the door, we found it really an added value that we had booked breakfast with it. In addition, the hotel has several restaurants where you can eat good food. We had lunch and dinner here several times and it was always very good!
It is also possible to order room service. We did this once for our daughter because she was still hungry in the evening. We called the restaurant and half an hour later we had the food in our room. So ideal with kids!
Conclusion
We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 days stay at the InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa. The hotel is the most luxurious hotel on the island, is spacious and has spacious and luxurious rooms, beautiful pools, a spa and several restaurants. We loved relaxing by the pool after a day of exploring Dominica’s nature.
