A day at Sterrenstrand TerSpegelt in Eersel
Sterrenstrand TerSpegelt is a super nice indoor pool we heard regularly when we asked for tips for various city trips we made to the city of Eindhoven. We have visited this family-friendly city several times now and wrote about the city in the blog Eindhoven with kids, in which we listed all the fun activities of the city. So during our last city trip to this city, we visited the Star Beach TerSpegelt and as a result of this visit we are writing this blog.
Table of contents
Sterrenstrand TerSpegelt is located on the grounds of recreation park TerSpegelt and it is also possible to visit this fun pool/beach without staying at the recreation park. By the way, you can also have a great time at TerSpegelt recreation park, as there is plenty to do for kids here and lots of facilities for families with kids, but that aside.
In fact, you can buy a day pass for the recreation park in Eersel at the park’s reception, which also gives you access to the large swimming pool that is fully covered. You can then walk from the reception to the pool in about ten minutes, but it is also possible to park the car (for free) along the pool. We had done this and then the car is right in front of the pool.
From the city of Eindhoven, you can get to the pool in just over 15 minutes, so this is definitely a fun activity if you are taking a city break to this city in Brabant. When we visited the pool it was not super good weather and then you really have a very large space here with several pools and a beach that is completely covered.
Star Beach TerSpegelt
You have several areas at Sterrenstrand TerSpegelt that are fun for kids. First up is Star Beach, which is simply a fully covered beach with water, sand and lots of different playground equipment. For example, you have different cottages, which kids can play in, there is a whole course for boys and girls and there are all kinds of play equipment across the water where kids can play.
This beach is great for both younger and slightly older kids. Our eight-year-old daughter had a great time here. In addition to this beach, there are also several pools for kids. For example, you have the Bloos’ pool for the youngest kids, in which the pool is very shallow and there are several toys in the water.
Another section is Canalplay which is also intended for young kids, but where our daughter also had a great time. You have some kind of canals here with play equipment that is very fun for kids.
There is also a large slide in the Hendrik’s Tuimelton section. Here, in addition to a slide, you also have an area with a heated hot tub. A wonderful place for parents. We sat in the hot tub and had a clear view of our daughter going down the slide. There is also another pool where you can swim and where kids can also play. This pool is 1.40 meters deep.
Food and drink by the pool
There are plenty of options for eating and drinking at the Sterrenstrand in Eersel. In the pool itself it is possible to order food and drinks and this is also possible on the terrace in front of the pool. We ourselves had lunch on the terrace (when the sun was just breaking through) and it was very good! Our daughter had fries and we had a salad with a baguette. On that note, you don’t necessarily have to bring your own food and drink to the indoor pool, despite the fact that we did see many families with kids doing so.
We have been to many indoor pools, but this is really one of the most fun, especially for young kids. There are different sections of the pool and plenty to do for kids everywhere. In addition, you can get great food and drinks, making this a great place for lunch as well. As a result, you can easily enjoy yourself for a whole day in this pool. There are also several playgrounds around the pool, where kids can play in the summer. For more information about this indoor pool, take a look at the TerSpegelt Eersel website.
