Best travel time Poland with kids
The best travel time to tour Poland with kids is from May through September. These are the summer months in Poland and then you have the greatest chance of sunny weather. However, this is also the period when there is the most rain in Poland, so you also need a little luck with the weather if you take a family tour of Poland. The high season in Poland is in the months of July and August because of the international vacations.
Transportation in Poland
Several cities in Poland can be reached by plane. Most families with kids arrive at Warsaw airport, where you can rent a car from Sunny Cars. It is perfectly possible to travel around Poland with kids by car. The roads in Poland are good and therefore the cities are easy to reach by car. The distances by car between the different cities are also fine, making Poland an ideal country to travel with kids. Of course, you can also fly between the different cities and tickets for domestic flights are often quite cheap.
If you want to visit only the major cities in Poland, it is also possible to travel through the country by train. Most cities can be reached this way.
In most cities you can walk around the city center with kids just fine and it is often also possible to use the bus, streetcar or subway to explore the center of a city. Also, you often have different cab apps that you can use in cities and that can also be a good way to explore the city with kids.

Gdansk
From Warsaw, you can drive by car to the port city of Gdansk in 3.5 hours. You can also go to a zoo in Gdansk. You have zoos in most major cities in Poland, and most of these zoos are well maintained and the animals are in spacious cages. If you are touring Poland with young kids, visiting Maja Land is also a fun option in Gdansk.
