#1 Tilburg: The city of Tilburg has enough activities to keep you entertained for a great weekend. In the center you have the fun railroad park, where you can climb a cool observation tower and kids can have fun on a nice skate track with a bike or scooter. You also have the Nature Museum and the craziest zoo in the Netherlands: Dierenpark de Oliemeulen.

The area around Tilburg is also worth visiting. For example, the largest amusement park in the Netherlands the Efteling is fifteen minutes away and the largest safari park in the Netherlands the Beekse Bergen is also fifteen minutes away. #2 Eindhoven: If your kids are absolutely crazy about playgrounds, then the city of Eindhoven must be the ideal city to visit for a weekend. #6 Speelbos Herperduin: the most fun play forest in the province is located in the northwest of the province in Herpen. The forest has a huge playground equipment that kids can climb on in all sorts of ways. In addition, there is some water at this playground, where kids can play. If you walk a little further into the play forest, you will come across an observation tower and a kind of dune area that is also ideal for kids to play. #7 Speelbos Goirle: This play forest has quite a lot of natural climbing equipment in a small area. The play forest is located next to Goirle’s climbing forest. Children can have a scavenger hunt through the play forest and you have a total of 14 obstacles for kids to overcome. #8 Play Forest Mierlo: Play Forest Molenheide in Mierlo consists of two different parts. For example, you have the Cotton Trail, where you can take a fun scavenger hunt through the forest with an app you can download in advance. In this, kids have to find different pictures and scan them with the phone. In the other part is the actual play forest, where kids can also have a good time with the various playground equipment. #9 The Efteling: the largest amusement park in the Netherlands is also located in Brabant and at the Efteling you can easily have a whole weekend of fun with your kids. Our daughter herself has a subscription to this park along with grandparents and one of her favorites still remains the park’s fairy tale forest. The Efteling actually has enough fun attractions for all ages, so you can also visit this park with adolescents, for example. #10 The Beekse Bergen: this is the largest safari park in the Netherlands and you can visit the animals in different ways. So you can drive your own car through the park, you can take a guided bus through the park, you can take a boat through the park, and you can also explore the park on your own on foot. If you are at the Beekse Bergen in the summer then it is also fun to add a day of Speelland. #11 DippieDoe: this is a smaller amusement park than the Efteling, for example, but definitely a very fun amusement park for younger kids. The amusement park has both indoor and outdoor sections and, as a park, is very manageable. Inside, it is like an indoor playground with small attractions such as a carousel and a spinning bench (you often see them at the fair as well). #12 BillyBird Park: the most fun is to visit this amusement park in Volkel in the summerin times a trip to North Brabant with kids. In fact, in addition to the many playgrounds and attractions this park has, you also have a large lake with it, where kids can swim and play in the water. Especially for young kids, BillyBird park is a lot of fun to visit. They have both indoor and outdoor entertainment and also at this amusement park you can easily spend a whole day under the covers with the family!

#13 Animal Park See Zoo: This animal park is not yet well known to the general public, but is definitely a fun park to visit for a morning or afternoon. #14 Oisterwijk woods and fens: one of the most beautiful natural areas in Brabant are these woods and fens. You can take your kids on fun walks of various distances along the various fens here. This is also a very photogenic place. The visitor center also includes a small playground with picnic benches, a restaurant and a play forest. #15 Loonse and Drunense dunes: this dune area frequently appears in the lists of most beautiful natural parks in the Netherlands. It is also a good place in North Brabant with kids to take a nice walk through the dunes. Throughout the area you will find fine sand, where you will see dozens of families with kids playing in the sand, especially in the summer. You will also find dozens of treehouses made by kids.

#16 The Biesbosch: this national park is the most fun to explore by electric boat. You can sail a scenic route through the nature reserve and stop at various beaches along the way with the kids. You can rent boats from Raamsdonksveer.

#17 Nature Area the Flaes: if you still have small kids and are looking for a hike that is easy to walk then the hike to the Flaes Tower is a fun hike. The hike is only two kilometers long and from the observation tower you have a beautiful view of the entire area. Also nearby is a nice restaurant (Herberg de Bokkenreyder), where you can have a delicious lunch and your kids can have fun with the animals that roam here.

#18 Klimrijk Brabant: the most fun climbing park in Brabant can be found in Veldhoven. Kids as young as four can already go to Klimrijk Brabant and they can climb at a height of 1.5 meters. For these kids, there are three different routes with a total of 25 different obstacles. For the older (and bigger) kids, they have even more different courses at different heights (up to 10 meters high) where the kids can climb. #19 Recreatiepark het Genieten: in Kaatsheuvel you have a very nice large playground with a terrace. Ideal place to have a nice lunch at noon while the kids can play. This restaurant is located against the Loonse and Drunense dunes, so it is also good to combine with a visit to the nature reserve. In addition to the many playgrounds, the park also has an area with water, where kids can cool off in the summer.

#20 Snowworld Rucphen: one of the largest indoor ski slopes in the Netherlands can be found in the town of Rucphen. In total there are three different slopes and for kids there is Kinderland which is a kind of children’s slope. By the way, at Snowworld Rucphen you can do even more than skiing. So they also have an icekart track here, a Glow in the Dark Miniature Golf course and an escaperoom.

#21 Pool recreation park Terspegelt: what we find a very nice pool to go to with our daughter is the pool of recreation park Terspegelt. You can also buy a ticket to the pool as a non-guest of the park. The pool has several slides, as well as a sort of indoor beach. Ideal when the weather is less and you can still swim and play here.
