ibis Styles Hotel Brussels Centre Stéphanie: a review!

During our city trip to the beautiful city of Brussels with our daughter, we slept at the ibis Styles Hotel Brussels Centre Stéphanie right in the center. It is always important to us that when we are out and about with our daughter that we sleep in a nice hotel, so that we can also relax after a long day walking through a city. Then you’ve come to the right place at this hotel! Following our overnight stay at the ibis Styles Hotel Brussels Centre Stéphanie, we are writing this comprehensive review about the hotel.

The hotel

We drove up to the hotel on Saturday morning, after visiting the Atomium, and parked the car in the paid parking garage located below the hotel. From there we are at the reception desk within a few minutes. In that regard, of course, it is super convenient that there is a parking garage at the hotel, so we don’t have to look after the car for the rest of the weekend. The prices to park the car per night here are also very reasonable if you compare this with the big cities in the Netherlands.

Hotel ibis Styles Brussels Centre Stephanie is located in the lively Louisa neighborhood, where many stores and restaurants can be found. In the street itself less than a hundred meters from the hotel you will also find a fairly large supermarket. Our daughter is not a super good eater so it was nice that we could buy some fruits and vegetables near the hotel.

There is also a gym at the hotel for parents who want to work up a sweat during a family city trip to Brussels. There is a streetcar stop in front of the hotel, but we did not use the streetcar ourselves. We always like to go for a nice walk through a city. You walk from the hotel to the main market in about half an hour. Along the way, we looked at the various murals of cartoon characters in the city that we had looked up in advance and were on the route. We also visited the world-famous Manneken Pis statue right during our walk to the Grand Place.

The room

We had booked a double room, with a bed added in the room for our daughter. We ourselves had a double bed. In addition, a modern bathroom with shower was included with our room. There was also a small desk in the room, where our daughter spent some time coloring.

In addition, the room has all the amenities you would expect from a modern room. There was a flat-screen TV (with several Dutch channels), a safe, a refrigerator and, of course, air conditioning. So as far as we were concerned, everything was there to relax in the room after a day of walking through Brussels.

Food and drink in hotel

Around the hotel are plenty of nice restaurants to grab a bite to eat for lunch or dinner. This is not something you can do at the hotel itself. You can get breakfast at the hotel, though. We also took advantage of this. At breakfast there was a wide choice of breads and toppings and it is also possible to boil an egg for breakfast.

In addition, there are plenty of tasty things like donuts, gingerbread and other goodies at the buffet. Coffee, tea and juice are also available at breakfast. You can also eat various cereals and yogurt for breakfast. In addition, fruit is available if you want to go for a healthy breakfast with your kids.

We had a very good breakfast here and left the hotel with a very well-filled stomach.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the ibis Styles Hotel Brussels Centre Stéphanie. The hotel is located downtown on a street full of stores and restaurants. The rooms are modern and very affordable for families with kids. Breakfast is also very extensive, so we had a good start to the day.
