What to do in Eindhoven with teenagers? Eindhoven is a very nice city for families with teenagers. There is enough to do for this target group to have a great time for a whole weekend in this city in Brabant. We have already written a great blog about what to do in Eindhoven with kids, but we have selected a number of activities from all those that are especially suitable for families with teenagers! #1 Klimrijk Brabant

A fun activity you can do in Eindhoven with teenagers is to visit Klimrijk Brabant. This is a climbing park with different courses and kids from 13 years with a height of at least 130 cm can do all the courses here. We always find this a very fun activity to do with our daughter. This park is also definitely recommended.

There is also enough challenge in the courses for adults, making this an active outing in Eindhoven that you can do together with your teenagers. In total there are 5 different courses and at the highest course you climb at a height of 10 meters. You can come climbing here for 2.5 hours, so with instructions and such you can easily set aside half a day for this teen activity in Eindhoven.

#2 Hezemans Indoor Karting

Another fun activity you can do with teenagers in Eindhoven is go-karting. You can do this at Hezemans Indoor Karting. This race track is located just outside the center of Eindhoven about fifteen minutes away by car. You have several options for teenagers to go karting here. Teenagers who are not taller than 1.45 meters can participate in mini karting.

Then the teenagers go-karting with peers and the speed of the kart is still limited. Also, the karts are a bit smaller, so it is suitable for this age group. If they are taller than 1.45 meters and not yet 16 years old, there is junior karting. Then the youngsters drive the karts of adults, but with limited speed.

Teens 16 and older can simply ride with the adults in the various heats. You can decide in advance how many heats you ride and each heat lasts about 8 minutes. So it is quite a short activity if you only drive 1 heat. Besides karting, at Hezemans Indoor Karting you can also have a game of axe throwing on a dartboard in the Axe Bar and there is also an arcade hall, where you can play all kinds of games.

#3 The Park Playground

Another cool activity you can do with teenagers in Eindhoven is playing a VR game. We did this ourselves in Eindhoven with our daughter and we found this a really super fun activity. You first get an explanation about the VR glasses and the devices you have in your hand and then you can practice a bit. You then learn how to grab things and shoot for example.

After each family member gets used to the VR glasses and controllers, then you start playing a game as a family. This is very coolly done and you see each other in a virtual environment in a completely different guise. You can choose in advance which game you want to play and there are games for different ages. It depends a bit on the age of your adolescents which game is most appropriate and what appeals most.

We have now played several VR games at multiple locations and each time was a success. It is very cool to suddenly be in ancient Egypt as a family and to have to do all kinds of tasks together. You use a large room, so you are also moving around a lot. This makes it a really active activity to do with teenagers here in Eindhoven.

#4 Prison Island

Playing escaperoom is always totally awesome for us. For most escaperooms, teenagers are just the right target group to play with. What we also love about an escaperoom is that, again, you play this together with the whole family. You have to work together to solve the different puzzles in order to get out of the room.

We have now played different escaperooms in different cities with our daughter and it is actually a success every time. For example, at Strijp S in Eindhoven you have an escaperoom, where they have four different rooms you can play. Also in the center of Eindhoven you can play an escaperoom at Next Level Escaperoom Eindhoven.

Another form of an escaperoom is Prison Island that you can play at All in 040. We have also played Prison Island several times with our daughter and at Prison Island you have several cells (in Eindhoven there are 28), where you have to do assignments. These can be knowledge assignments or physical assignments. Again, it is important to work together as a family on the assignments.

You must try to get as high a score as possible in each cell, and you may redo each cell as many times as you like. This is also a very active activity. As a family, you are always walking from cell to cell, so you often have to perform physical tasks there as well. In the end, you have to try to get the highest score of the day. Also with this activity you are very active in Eindhoven with teenagers.

#5 Gamestate Eindhoven

Teenagers generally like gaming and in Eindhoven you can do this very well at Gamestate Eindhoven. Gamestate Eindhoven is located right in the center of Eindhoven near the central train station, so you don’t have to go out of town with the family. Here you can buy a card with credits and then start playing. These credits on the card are valid for one year.

So it’s not that you have unlimited play for a few hours here, but you can play until the credits on your card run out. In addition to video games and pinball machines, you also have several Arcade games here that are physical, where, for example, you have to throw as many basketballs into a basket in a certain amount of time. Because of this, this can also be another physical activity you do with teenagers in Eindhoven.

Other activities Eindhoven with adolescents

In addition to the activities described above, there are a number of things you can do in Eindhoven with teenagers. Eindhoven is known for its street art and you can already find many works of art around the city center. The best place to see street art in Eindhoven with teenagers is De Berenkuil. This is called the largest open-air museum in the Netherlands and the epicenter of street art!

You can also visit the preHistoric Village with teens if you want to get an idea of what it was like in earlier times. You can also do all kinds of things here and we found it surprisingly fun. We had few expectations beforehand, yet we had a great time here with our daughter.

If your teens still love jumping on trampolines, there are several options in Eindhoven such as at Jumpsquare Eindhoven and JumpXl Eersel. This is a great place to spend an hour (or two) jumping with teenagers. Especially if the weather is not so good, this can be a great option. We found both jump parks very fun to visit.
