B&B De Langenlee with kids

During one of our city trips to the city of Zwolle, we stayed at B&B de Langenlee in Zwolle. Meanwhile, we have also written a blog about what you can do in Zwolle with the family(Zwolle with kids). Normally we really only book hotels, but because of the good reviews and the pictures we came across online of the B&B, we decided to book a bed and breakfast again. Following our overnight stay at B&B de Langenlee with our daughter, we are writing this review.

The B&B

From downtown Zwolle, it is just over ten minutes away by car to the B&B. The B&B is located in the north of the city in a green area. You really feel like you are in the countryside here with all those farms and fields around. The B&B is also located in a farmhouse. Big advantage of the B&B is that you can park your car in front of the B&B for free. So you don’t have the hassle of parking garages or difficult parking.

We received a friendly welcome from the owner once we parked the car. The apartment is on the second floor and has an upstairs entrance from outside. When we reach the top, we are treated to a local delicacy. That’s another welcoming entry!

Sophie has already seen the little playground outside in the garden that we are allowed to use, so she wants to go outside as soon as possible. You have a trampoline, swing and a slide in this playground. Especially at the end of the day, we enjoyed Sophie being able to play outside for a while. At this playground, you can look out far over the fields that surround the farm. You really imagine yourself in the countryside!

The apartment

The apartment we had was very spacious. We had both rooms at the B&B, giving both us and Sophie our own rooms. Both rooms opened into the living room/kitchen. Both rooms had a bathroom, which of course is very nice and allows you to shower with several family members at the same time in the morning, of course. Also, both rooms have a television.

It is also possible to prepare something of food in the kitchen, as well as make a cup of coffee or tea here. Because we had both rooms, the room was very spacious and we had more than enough room for our family of three. In the living room there is a table where you can play a game with your kids.

We slept wonderfully in this quiet environment. Whereas in the city you are still sometimes bothered by the sounds of other guests or from outside, it was wonderfully quiet here when we were there. Furthermore, there is a good WIFI connection in the rooms, which is always important to us.

Food and drink at the B&B

As we had previously reported, it is possible to prepare something of food in the kitchenette that comes with the apartment. The kitchen’s refrigerator has a variety of drinks to grab and guests can leave their own money for the drinks they grabbed.

In the morning we took advantage of the delicious breakfast. The owner, came with several fresh rolls and some of the breakfast you could grab yourself in the breakfast room. Fresh fruit, an egg, multiple types of spreads were all available in the B&B. Thus, we left the B&B with a well-filled stomach.

In summer, it is also possible to have breakfast outside on the terrace.

Conclusion

We really enjoyed our stay at B&B de Langenlee in Zwolle. It is close to downtown Zwolle, but you have the quiet green environment during your stay which is very nice with kids. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is delicious. In addition, we were received with tremendous hospitality.

For our daughter, it was nice that she had the space and that she could play outside at the end of the day. There was also plenty of room inside to play a game at the living room table. We therefore definitely recommend the B&B when visiting the Zwolle area with the family. For more information about the rooms, check out the B&B ‘s website.
